The team is led by Dr Laurence Lovat, consultant gastroenterologist at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Reader (Associate Professor) in Laser Medicine at the National Medical Laser Centre, University College London.
Dr Lovat has a major interest in complicated indigestion and Barrett's oesophagus. He leads a research team investigating new ways to prevent and treat oesophageal cancer.
