Jacky Bernett is a registered Dietitian with a degree in Dietetics. Her whole career has been devoted to dietetics.
After qualifying in 1979 Jacky initially worked at The Mayday Hospital in Croydon for 6 years and then as a Community Dietitian for Barnet Health Authority for 12 years. In 1997 she entered private practise in response to a demand for a more personal and specialised dietetic service.
Her broad international base uniquely qualifies her to consider the varied diets of today’s multicultural society. She has developed recognised expertise in a number of areas working with babies through to adults with a special interest in gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, obesity, eczema and children with eating issues, which has resulted in her being engaged by television, radio and consumer press for advice, comment and presentation on a variety of diet related subjects.
In addition to her regular practise she is a fitness and sports enthusiast. In the past she water skied competitively but now enjoys snow skiing and is a keen cyclist, having completed the challenge of cycling from London to Paris (525 kms) over three days in both 2010 and 2011.
